Dec 29 fun, fabulous, & four | let her be little

When you first become a mom everyone tells you "it goes by so fast, enjoy every moment!" At first you think to yourself, "can time really move faster than it already is?! I mean just yesterday I feel like I was playing dolls in my room at home & now here I am having a REAL baby!?!" And then it happens. You have your sweet baby girl, blink, & she's somehow already turning F O U R, four. How can that be???!

Seriously y'all, if you do not have a kid yet, brace yourself. Time is going to go even faster than it already is. I would say it truly starts to speed up at about age 2. Because honestly I have enjoyed, well..embraced & TRIED to enjoy, every single moment since I became pregnant over four years ago, & it still zooms by!!! I physically feel like our little Alivia should only be turning about 2 but here we are, celebrating her turning F O U R this year. (And all of the mommies cry because they know exactly what I am talking about!)

If time is going to go by so quickly, we might as well celebrate it with all we have! If that means you want to have a quiet dinner at home, do it. If that means you want to have a bumping birthday party at the Taj Mahal, do that! Just make sure you celebrate this all too short & precious life because it's going to pass whether we want it to or not!

For me, I A D O R E parties. They make me happy, a tad frazzled, & give me a chance to use my creative side like I was made for! Basically if I could do this for a living, I would. Meaning if I could do it every single day, okay let's be realistic, every couple of weeks so I could plan & such, without even making money doing it, I would do it for L I F E, life. Taking a thought, idea, or theme & bringing it to life, literally makes me giddy inside. So having my own child to celebrate every year, makes it that much more fun! I can't wait for her birthday year after year. Sometimes I'm so excited I think of her party theme a year or two in advance. For example, while putting together her party this year, her 5th birthday party already came to me!

But that will have to wait for a whole other (short) year because she leaves a little SPARKLE as soon as her feet hit the floor! Ruffles & bows galore, this year Alivia is fun, fabulous, & FOUR!!!
