troop alivia lee | part 2
I LOVE taking photos almost as much as I love throwing parties B U T, I never seem to find the ability to multitask and do both of those things simultaneously! Insert your amazing friend who is attending the party as a guest, swooping in and picking up your camera without missing a beat and using her mad-photography skills without you even asking. Let's all take a moment and give Mrs. Abby Sweet a big ol' giant virtual hug!!! I cannot even begin to tell you how much this simple gesture meant to me.
Seriously y'all! It felt like SO many crazy things happened as our guests started arriving for Alivia's Party that my camera immediately took the back burner. Can you say random power-outage when you have a gated entry, propane oven but electric switch full of h'orderves, and I donut know, maybe some LIGHTS on a cloudy day would be nice, am I right?!? Can you tell I appreciate (or maybe rely on) our modern comforts a little much...I mean this was a "glamping" themed party, but did we really have to take it to the level of cooking over an open fire? I guess it's true what Phyllis Nefler says in the movie, "In the wilderness of life, we can never be too prepared." TouchΓ© Phyllis, touchΓ©!
Anyways, as you can tell, I decided to not even think about taking photos but thankfully Abby Sweet did. Here are some of my favorite party images she captured from Alivia's Seventh Birthday Party:
Alivia Lee, what a thrill - Alivia Lee, what a thrill! I'm forever grateful for all of the people that not only celebrate our Alivia but genuinely love her, year after year! Watching her grow up is definitely one of the most bittersweet things I have ever done in my life, but I am beyond blessed that I get to. Huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped me with setting up this party, juggle the chaos of starting with no power and having patience, taking photos, bringing donations or gifts, but more importantly, celebrating our little girl - we are forever grateful!
