perfect timing | holly felts photography
Trying to get back into the swing of some normal things can feel like a challenge or even feel somewhat wrong, but it is also beyond needed after difficulties we face in this life, especially those of great loss. So today I am sharing a gorgeous engagement session from Holly Felts Photography that we did at the beginning of Summer. Working with my sister is not only something that got our feet in the door of the creative industry but it also happens to fill me with warm, sisterly-bonding, fuzzies! Which sometimes you just need, even if it's months later..
Erin and Nick are Becoming the Butlers next month! When Erin first contacted me about stylizing their engagement session, I have to be honest with you, I was a little nervous! 1.) I graduated high school with Erin & we attended college together at NSU 2.) She is also a photographer! Not that either 1 or 2 are bad things or a "big deal," but they can make a gal nervous! What if I don't come up with something new? What if she hates what I create? What if I ruin her idea of what she thought she envisioned her engagement pictures looking like?! You know, all of the normal thoughts creatives go through, every. single. time they create. But all of my fears vanished once I got it all set-up (not to mention I personally knew their photographer ;D)! My concept for them was "Perfect Timing," as it took a few years for them to come together, but once they did, they just knew! I also wanted to not only draw inspiration from their location, but mesh with it as well.
Then Holly and the soon-to-be Butlers really brought my vision to life!
Don't you just love, love..and admit it, you love a good Oklahoma country-side as well?! Or at least I do! I also love working with not only super sweet and talented photographers, but getting to be around their beautiful clients as well!
